Obituary of Minnie Spoon

Minnie I. (Ginnick) Spoon passed away May 6, 2013 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehab & HCC. Born in Morrisdale, PA on July 21, 1928 she was the daughter of Enoch and Margaret (Aldstadt) Ginnick. Minnie worked at Dittmer Gear, had a motor route with the Union Sun & Journal and retired from Sherwood Celpac. She enjoyed square dancing, line dancing, and bowling. Minnie was predeceased by her husband Roy E. Spoon whom she married on August 7, 1954 and passed away on May 6, 1998.
She is survived by her children Carolyn O'Donnell of Bellingham, WA, Connie (Orv) Lewis of Lockport, Donald (Marcia) Yox of Niwot,CO, Mark (Lisa) Spoon of Panama City, FL, James (Doris) Spoon of Williamsville, Carol Heiser of Lockport and the late Marian Schurr and Henry Spoon; grandmother of twenty-four, many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; also survived by her daughter-in-law Patricia Spoon and sister of Eleanor Heitman of Baltimore, MD and the late Roy Ginnick, Sr.; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, May 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11th at 2 PM in Lockport United Church of Christ, 98 East Ave., Lockport. Donations to the church or to Save-A-Pet would be appreciated.
