B. Lucille "Lucy" Mangan passed away April 5, 2013 in Newfane Rehab &amp; Health Care Center. Born in Lockport on November 18, 1919 she was the daughter Richard C. and Jessie Mae (Johnson) Schad. Beatrice was the stenographer for the Niagara County Infirmary and was also the bookkeeper for Herco Furniture Company, Lockport and Mills Jewelers. She also worked for a short time for Hooper &amp; Thompson Law Office where she was their legal secretary, Ames and Twin Fair. Beatrice was a past member of the Moose and enjoyed gardening in her flowerbeds, playing BINGO, needlework, trivia, loved all pets especially her dog Duffy. She was predeceased by her husband John W. Mangan in 1986. Beatrice is survived by her children Patricia Dearborn of Lockport, Rita (Duane) Root of Lockport, Sharon (Donald) Cleveland of Newfane, and the late Thomas Joseph Mangan; grandmother of Philip Dearborn, Paul Root, Sharon Root, Craig (Anjanette) Root, Crysta (Alan) Booth, Kyle (Jenny) Root, Jessie (Vincent) Bordeau, Dana Longfritz, LeeAnn (Peter) Yaeger, Daniel Ceveland, Annette Barone, Kerry (Matthew) Collard and the late John Root; great grandmother of eighteen, great-great grandmother of one and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased four sister and three brothers. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, April 7th 3-6 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 8th at 1 PM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. Donations to Leukemia &amp; Lymphoma Society or Niagara Hospice would be appreciated.
