Obituary of Saverio Cosmano

Saverio J. "Sam" Cosmano passed away March 26, 2013 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after a long illness. Born April 11, 1933 in Buffalo he was the son of Bruno and Giovanna (Aiello) Cosmano. Sam served in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956 as a Second Lieutenant he was in strategic air command, nuclear supply, H-Bomb research and on the ground in Korea. He started his work in construction after he got out of service working two jobs to support his family. Sam worked in the car wash business from the 1960's till 2006 when he retired. Managing eight car washes at one time Sam was part owner of two big locations now home of two Delta-Sonics. He bought his first carwash in East Aurora in 1974 called the, Aurora Car Wash. Sam was innovative in the car washing business and adapted to the industry needs and changes throughout his career. He was one of the areas great car wash "God Fathers", never afraid of any challenge or crisis in business. Sam was predeceased by his loving first wife Marie (McTigue) Cosmano in 2006.
Sam is survived by his wife Patricia (Schultz) Cosmano of Amherst; father of Joseph Cosmano of Gasport, Anne Marie (Glenn) Howarth of Michigan, and Samuel (Stacy) Cosmano of East Aurora; grandfather of Kyle, Ryan Howarth, Connor, Patrick Cosmano, Saverio, Eliana and the late Grace Marie Cosmano; brother of Linda Tiburzi, Barbara Wasilewski and Vicki Girard; also several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 1st at 10 AM in Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 5840 Main St., Williamsville. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery. Donations to the Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora would be appreciated by the family. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.
