Obituary of Agnes Getz

Agnes C. Getz passed away Friday March 22, 2013 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Pendleton, on October 2, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Art Matheis. Agnes is better known as, "Aggie" from Sullivan's Grocery Store, where she was a manager for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's RC Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Agnes married the late Edward Getz on May 3, 1969, sadly he passed away in 1974. Agnes is survived by her nephews, Raymond (Nancy) Matheis and Michael (Michelle) Matheis, both of Arizona; her cousins Gloria (Late Rudy) Hillman, Jack (Marcia) Tillotson and the late Donna Spencer. Dear friend of George and LaVonne Walker, Arlene Wallace and the Riddle Family. Agnes is predeceased by her brother Harold (Iris) Matheis. There will be no prior visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lockport. Memorials to the Briody Health Care Facility Long Term Care Scholarship Fund, 909 Lincoln Avenue, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> There will be no prior visitation. <h3>Services</h3> Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. <h3>Interment</h3> Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lockport.
