Obituary of Virginia Todak

Virginia Jaroszewski Todak passed away November 17, 2009 in Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center, she was born April 5, 1924 in Buffalo. In the 1950's she worked as a waitress for Airport Lanes and enjoyed listening to music, playing pinochle, walking and most of all she loved being a mom and grandma. Virginia was predeceased by her husband Henry Todak in 1992, whom was a WW II POW, she took great pride in caring for of his last ten years when he was bed ridden.
She is survived by her children H. Robert (Merry-Lou) Todak of Lockport, John (Joan) Szalda of Seattle, WA and Barbara (John) Knowlton of Bloomsberg, PA. Virginia is also survived by her ten grandchildren Ann (Allen) Szalda-Petree, Mary (Michael) Fuda, John H. Szalda, Amy (Richard) Benson, Jenifer (Jason) Saldana, Heather (Jacob) Omlid, Shareene (Brian) Mossberg, Elisabeth (Matt) Johnson, Nathan Szalda and Cory R. Todak; also eighteen great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.
