Obituary of Joanne Zapata

Joanne (Magnolia) Zapata passed away January 28, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Coudersport, PA on September 29, 1934, she was the daughter of James and Josephine (Calkins) Magnolia. Joanne worked at Harrison Radiator and was also in home care. Joanne is survived by her husband, Rafael Zapata of Lockport; mother of Mary (James) Vining of Lockport, James (Mary) Meacham of Medina, David Burdick of Pennsylvania, and Tom Meacham of Niagara Falls, NY; mother-in-law of Liz Meacham; grandmother of Bob (Heather) Meacham, Brice Carullo, Carl Lee (Erica) Miller, Gabby Meacham, Lindsay Meacham, Crystal (Tom) Taylor and Pfc. Mathew (Christina) Burdick; 14 great-grandchildren; also several other in-laws, friends and family. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, January 30th, 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 31st, at 1 PM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
