Obituary of John Bewley

John E. Bewley of Lockport, NY passed away January 20, 2013 peacefully in Niagara Hospice House after a brief illness. Born on July 2, 1953 he was the son of the late Robert W. and Shirley (Meckle) Bewley. John was president of the family business, Pavement Maintenance, where he worked for over 30 years. He most recently was a bartender at Gonzo's. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 410; he was an avid Yankees fan, Buffalo Bill fan, enjoyed golfing and fantasy leagues.
John is survived by his loving children Andrew and Robert (Latoya) Bewley of Rochester and Krista (Eddie Macaluso) Bewley of Kenmore; grandfather of Dominic, Julian and Michael. He is also the brother of Charles W. Bewley of Camden, NY, Robert C. (Mary Kay) Bewley of Gasport, NY, James R. (Lynn) Bewley of Burt, NY, Jean M. (John) Pouthier of Wilson, Beth A. (Patrick) Costello of Lockport and the late Ann Johnson; uncle of the late Michele Bewley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11 o'clock in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11 o'clock in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY

Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
