Obituary of Andrew McCann

Andrew James McCann passed away January 14, 2013 in Buffalo General Medical Center. Born May 17, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY and grew up in Gasport. He is the son of Patrick and Katherine (Kane) McCann. Andrew graduated from Royalton-Hartland Schools and also Erie Community College with an electrician degree. He served in the Navy from 1945 to 1946 during WW II and worked for Loud & Wendel in Middleport and was an electrician for Harrison Radiator. Andrew was a life member of the VFW Post 2535, American Legion and AOH. He was predeceased by his wife Mary (Devereaux) McCann in 1998.
Andrew is survived by his children Kathleen (Michael) Heiman, James (Sueanne) McCann both of Lockport, Sheila (Edward) Conley of Williamsville, Kevin (Darcy) McCann of North Tonawanda, Michael (Anna) McCann, Dennis McCann and Patricia McCann all of Lockport; grandfather of Mary (Ben) Udell, Joshua (Colleen) McCann, Andrea (Eric) Brown, Laura Conley, Matthew Conley, Meghan McCann, Michael McCann, Katie McCann, and Patrick McCann; great grandfather of Wyatt Kane Brown; brother of the late Kathleen Ramming.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 67 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
