L. Mark Huntington; PhD, a longtime Investment broker in the community passed away peacefully at home July 2, 2009. He was born in Barker January 8, 1924; the son of Leslie and Florence Jesson Huntington. Mark attended Niagara University, Syracuse University, Rutgers, and Pacific U. and graduated from U.B. He served in the US Navy and is a World War II veteran. In 1953, he married the former Phyllis MacFarlane who predeceased him in 2002. Early on he was the manager of Marine Midland Bank in Wilson, NY. As an investment broker he first worked at Doolittle, from there he worked for Advest, S.C. Parker and lastly for Bodell, Overcash Anderson, where he was Vice President. He was an avid reader, loved his music and taking cruises with his wife Phyllis. Despite his physical limitations living with Multiple Sclerosis for half of his life, he always persevered and never complained. Mark served in many capacities in various organizations throughout the years, such as President of Wilson Board of Education, Lions Club, Tuscarora Club, Investment Clubs, B. Leo Dolan Post American Legion and the Red Jacket Lodge F &amp; AM. Predeceased by his wife Phyllis in 2002; father of Lori (Steve), Scott (Brenda); grandfather of Tonya all of Lockport. Brother of Bruce of Fort Myers, Fl., sister in-law of Mildred Mac Farlane, brother in-law of Jack Bentley and many nieces, nephews and friends. His is also survived by many dedicated caregivers that made it possible for Mark to remain in the home he loved and to be cared for with dignity and compassion; Judy, Junie, Jeneva, Erlean, Juanita, Queenie, Ena, Oohweedeh, Nurse Deby, Sue Oesterle, NP and especially Joyce with whom he had a special rapport. And last but not least he will be sadly missed by his "special girls" and constant companions Abby and SuChin. Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A celebration of life service will be Wednesday morning at 11 AM in 2nd Presbyterian Church, 71 Van Buren St., Lockport, NY 14094. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Memorials to the church, Multiple Sclerosis Society or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM <h3>Services</h3> A celebration of life service will be Wednesday morning at 11 AM in 2nd Presbyterian Church, 71 Van Buren St., Lockport, NY 14094. <h3>Interment</h3> Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum
