Obituary of Sheila LaPort

Sheila K. LaPort of Lockport entered into rest on Friday, December 28, 2012. Born on March 3, 1954 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Bruce A. and Frances J. Lichtanski Stauff. Sheila was a local real estate agent for over 25 years. She was also the owner and operator of LaPort Auto Sales in Lockport with her children. Sheila was also a member of the Lions Club in Lockport. She enjoyed organizing events and parties, going shopping, talking with and helping others cope with having cancer, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, family and friends. Sheila&amp;#39;s husband, Timothy LaPort, passed away on January 23, 2006. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Timothy B. LaPort, Jr. and Erika A. LaPort, both of Lockport; sister of Bruce A.(Debbie) Stauff of Texas and Amy B.(Wayne) Dillon of Tennessee. Also survived by relatives and many friends. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 PM and on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., where the funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:15 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church at 10 AM. Entombment in Glenwood Cemetery. Donations in Sheila&amp;#39;s memory to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or Lockport Lions Club, PO Box 354, Lockport, NY 14095 would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 PM and on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. <h3>Services</h3> Prayers at the funeral home, Wednesday morning at 9:15 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church at 10 AM. <h3>Interment</h3> Entombment in Glenwood Cemetery.
