Carol Kirchberger Obituary

Carol A. Kirchberger passed away suddenly December 27, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born April 10, 1934 in Lockport she was the daughter of Eugene and Mildred (Helwig) Kirchberger. Carol worked for Harrison Radiator for 32 years where she was an office worker retiring in 1989. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport and was a faithful and active volunteer involved in many church organizations. Carol was a member of the Altar Guild serving as treasurer, a money counter and a Harvest Festival volunteer. Every Sunday, Carol faithfully picked up the donuts at Tops for the Sunday church coffee hour.

In addition, for over thirty years, Carol was as an avid volunteer for the Annual American Cancer Society Daffodil Sale, known as "The Flower Lady". She was an avid card player, bowler and golfer at Willowbrook Golf Course where she got her hole-in-one.


Carol is survived by her special cousin Bill "Cousin Boo" Green and her longtime friend Mary Meyer. She was predeceased by her brother Eugene Kirchberger. She is also survived by her cousins Arthur (Diane) Kirchberger, Jack (Edie) Kirchberger, Raymond (Lynn) Kirchberger, Robert (Jana) Kirchberger, Donald (Carol) Kirchberger, Beverly Heschke and the late Herbert (Elaine) Kirchberger


There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 3rd at 11 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 67 Saxton St., Lockport. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.
