Joan Shields passed away Monday December 24, 2012 in Erie County Medical Center. Born in Lockport on August 16, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Shields and Barbara (Ralph) McGowan Tagg. Joan was an aide for Opportunities Unlimited in Lockport. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and especially spending time with her family.
Joan is survived by her daughters Jessica and Kaitlyn Shields, both of Lockport; Grandmother of Jayden Shields and Kylie Milstead. Joan is also survived by her brothers Ronald Shields and John (Cathy) Shields, both of Lockport.
Friends may call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Saturday morning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
