Obituary of Arthur Ferris

Arthur DeWitt Ferris, 81, of Lockport passed away November 2, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane. Born February 2, 1928 in Royalton he was the son of Frank E. and Elizabeth (Reisner) Ferris. He graduated from Lockport High School in 1946 and served in the 107th Air National Guard during the Korean War. Arthur worked at Word Brothers, Western Block and Franbuilt Co. retiring in 1993. He is a past member of the Grand Squares and the Gasport Senior Citizens.
Arthur is survived by his wife Norma Carol (Argue) Ferris of Lockport and two daughters Sandra (David) Woodburn of Burt and Judith (Lawrence) Meyer of Medina; grandfather of six and three great granddaughters. He was predeceased by a sister Mary Anne Jonas and three brothers Charles, George and Frank Ferris; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street. Lockport where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined; memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would e appreciated by the family.
