Obituary of Roger Dunkelberger

Roger C. Dunkelberger passed away Sunday December 16, 2012 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Lockport on February 1, 1930, he was the son of the late Alton and Olive Gammack Dunkelberger. Roger served in the US Army from 1951 until 1953, and later worked for Harrison Radiator in production for well over 30 years. He was a member of the VFW, was has been described as a master woodworker. Roger's true joy came from his family, including grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roger is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty (nee Arlington) Dunkelberger; father of Sheila Moran of Lockport and Nancy (Richard) Shepheard of Buffalo. Roger was the grandfather of Thomas (Stephanie) Moran, Melissa (Dean) Ramirez, Sara (John) Santillo and Andrew Shepheard; great grandfather of Aiden, Noah, Madeline, Molly and Jackson. Roger is also survived by his brother, John (Eleanor) Dunkelberger of Lockport. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials to the American Heart Association or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Services</h3> Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
