Obituary of Robert Niver

Robert L. Niver passed away December 16th, 2012 in the Absolut Health Care Facility, Gasport, NY. Born June 15, 1923 in Lockport; he was the son of Otis and Cornelia (Finch) Niver. Robert was a retired custodian at North Park Middle School for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He was married to the late Mildred (McGowan) Niver who passed away September 4th, 1996. Bob served in the US Army from 1944 to 1946, enjoyed his coffee hour with the group at McDonald's, cowboy movies, wrestling and loved tinkering and fixing items that need to be fixed. He is the father of Thomas (Alma) Niver of Cocoa, FL; grandfather of Christopher (Teresa) Niver of Lockport, Michelle (Michael) Ford and Heather Kidney both of Florida. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren; he was the youngest brother of the late Ray, Otis, Samuel, Francis, Janet Niver and Leona Clugston. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 4 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 AM. Memorials to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, P.O.
