David G. Powell passed away Thursday December 13, 2012 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Born in Plant City, Fl, on October 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Lester G. and Alma Gould Powell. David is survived by his children Kevin, Cathy and Cindy; his beloved companion, Nancy Whelan. He is also survived by his sister Virginia (late Richard) Meierer of Lockport and his brothers Roy (Sandie) Powell of Dallas, TX and Gary Powell of Medina, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday December 17th, 4 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm &amp; Carlton, Buffalo, NY 14263, would be appreciated by the family.
