David L. LaFountain passed away October 30, 2009 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Born September 22, 1940 in Lockport he was the son of the late Lewis and Anne (nee Redner) LaFountian. David served in the National Guard for six years at the Willow Street Armory. He was a steel worker for 25 years at Simonds Saw & Steel retiring in 1983. David enjoyed the NY Yankees, horse racing, fishing, horse shoes, was an avid bowler and a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Lockport.

David is survived by his wife Elaine (nee Burdick) LaFountain of Lockport; father of Deanne (Walter) Tchorznicki of Lockport and Darlene (Brian) Hereth of North Carolina; grandfather of Ashley Hannold and Joshua Hereth both of North Carolina; brother of Judy (Wayne) Strojnowski of North Tonawanda and Lynn LaFountain of Florida; also survived by several nieces ,nephews

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 2-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery.
