Obituary of Francis Bellow

Francis M. "Sarge" Bellow passed away Thursday November 29, 2012 in Absolut of Gasport. Born in Clarksville, Ohio, on May 11, 1924, he was the son of the late Clarence and Lucille McCray Bellow. He attended Waverly High School, Waverly, OH, after graduation he joined the US Air Force in February of 1943 until his retirement in August of 1963. While in the Air Force he served in Europe, Alaska, Philippines, Greenland and Canada. After his time in service, he worked at Harrison Radiator from 1963 until 1984, where he was an inspector and retiring as a supervisor. Francis was a member of the AFSA, VFW, AARP, UAW Local 686 and was the treasurer of the Retired Auto Travel Club. He is predeceased by his life long companion Marie Dodge. Francis is survived by his son, Michael (Denise) Bellow of Lockport; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of Gladys Helton and Ethel Winger both of Sebring, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday December 2, 2012, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will be held Monday December 3, 2012 at 10 AM.
