Obituary of Maria Santini

Maria A Santini passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, NY. Born February 10, 1936 in Roccamorice, Italy, she was the daughter of Augustino and Palma (DiNardo) DiMillo. She graduated from Lockport High School in 1954 and married later the same year. Maria worked at Harrison Radiator for 22 years, starting in production and retiring as an inspector in 1991. Her ultimate pleasure was when she was cooking and entertaining her family. She also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees.
Maria is survived by her husband Joseph and by siblings Angelo (Mary) DiMillo and Anna (late Ronald) DiNicolantonio and by the late Anthony (surviving Bianca) DiMillo. Her four sons are Michael Santini of Pittsburg, CA, Joseph (Elizabeth) Santini of Pendleton, Richard (Catherine) Santini of Kirkland, WA and Anthony (Elizabeth) Santini of Lockport; eight grandchildren including Nicholas, Elise, Jennifer, Veronica, Christopher, Joseph, Gianna and Julia as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call Friday November 23, 2012, 4 to 8 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24th at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Entombment will be at Glenwood Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the Santini family would appreciate memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY, 14094.
