Obituary of Rita DeNeau

Rita Mary DeNeau, 76, of Lockport, passed away on November 8, 2012, at Niagara Hospice House, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Rita is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond DeNeau; and her daughters, Suzanne DeNeau and Jennifer DeNeau. She is the beloved grandmother of Vincent Schad and Emma Schad. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Robert) Bumbacher. She will be missed by her many relatives and friends. Rita was the daughter of the late Francis and Emma (Bosseler) Kersch of North Java, NY. She was a 1955 graduate of Attica High School and worked at Roswell Park Cancer Institute prior to her marriage. She raised her family in Newfane and resided in Lockport for the past 13 years. Rita will be remembered for her kindness to friends and strangers alike. Her happiest moments were those spent with her family. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY.
