Obituary of Frances (Rose) Blackmon

Frances Ann Elizabeth (Rose) Blackmon fell asleep in death On October 29, 2012 after a long illness. A current residence in Jacksonville, Florida she was born in Lockport on November 25, 1930. She was an active member of Jehovah and enjoyed reading and teaching the Bible, sewing and spending time with her family. Daughter of the late William H. and Ethel Rose; sister of the late William H. Jr. (surviving wife Rita) Rose of El Pal Alto, CA; late Fredrick (Cecelia) Rose Lockport and Frank "Skip", (surviving wife Rose) Rose of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and late Belva E. Martin (close cousin). She has 8 daughters and 1 son: Frances (Steve) Huston, Mary Ann (late Bobby Joe) Battle, Sonja (Curtis) Snowden of Lockport, Mattie (Michael) Narcisse of Tuscaloosa, AL, Marico (John) Wright of Jacksonville, FL, Justina (Jeffery) Fort, Pembroke Pine, Melissa (Anthony) Wood, Crestview, John W. Blackmon, Sunrise, all of Florida, and the late Deborah (surviving husband Robert) Riddick of Pa; 30 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends Agnes Blumrick, Sally Benzing, ldell Lewis, May Davis and many other dear friend friends. She leaves a legacy that expands 4 generations; her love will be solely missed.
