Beatrice Rose Loiacano (nee Pillot) passed away November 3, 2012 at Niagara Hospice surrounded by her beloved family after a courageous 16 year battle with lymphoma. Born in Lockport on March 20, 1951, she is the daughter of Beatrice (Camarre) Pillot and the late Frank Pillot. Bea was employed as the Office Manager at Niagara Cooler Inc. for 26 years. Her prior employment was at Hanci Health Association where she worked as an aide and then as a case coordinator. She also worked for the Lockport City School District as a lunch monitor. She was a life-long member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church and was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and Women's Guild. She spent countless hours volunteering for numerous charities and was well known for her handmade creative baskets that she donated. She was passionate about charities associated with cancer and Juvenile Diabetes; at times making over 80 baskets for one event.
Bea is survived by her beloved husband Joseph M. Loiacano. High-school sweethearts, Joe and Bea were married on July 24, 1971 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church and they recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. Bea was the dear mother of Renee (Greg) Hooker and Joseph (Melissa) Loiacano. She was the adored Nana of Nathan Joseph and Joshua Daniel Hooker and Cecelia Bryant and Joseph Michael Loiacano III. Beattie's brother Michael (Dawn) Pillot, Aunt to Tonya and Michael Pillot and great-aunt to Tray Malcolm. Daughter in-law to Charles A. Loiacano and the late Rose Loiacano. Sister in-law to Charles (Gail) Loiacano. Aunt to Kim (Frank) Perilli, Kristine (Michael) LaRose, Charles (Amy) Loiacano and Terese Alex. Great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dearest friends Teri and Bruno Fontana.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 2:00 - 7:00 pm, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will he celebrated on Wednesday November 7, 2012 at 10 AM in All Saints Parish Oratory at St. Joseph's Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to WNY Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 331 Alberta Dr, Suite 106, Buffalo, NY 14226, in honor of Cecelia Loiacano.
