Obituary of Dora (Hutton) Wilson

Dora Leone (Hutton) Wilson, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away October 25, 2012 at Briody Health Care Facility. She was born on August 28, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant, Ontario, Canada to the late Hubert and Mabel (Hussey) Hutton. She worked as a journeyman press operator for Star Printing in Newfane, New York. As a member of the First Presbyterian Church, she served as a Deacon and an Elder. She also enjoyed and thrived as a family matriarch...always ready to serve a meal for a family gathering.
Dora was predeceased by her husband William B. Wilson in 1983 and her daughter Judith (Russell) Rung in 1999. She is survived by her children Elizabeth and the late John Cook of Dewitt, Michigan; Robert (Rebecca) Wilson, and Stephen (Lynn) Wilson, both of Lockport. She was the grandmother of nine and great grandmother of eight; and sister of Edgar (Florence) Hutton of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and the late Ruby Lewis, and the late Nina Gardiner, and aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, October 28 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, New York. Funeral Services will be held Monday October 29 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church St., Lockport, New York. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Presbyterian Church.
