Obituary of Marcia Peracciny

Marcia Lynn Peracciny passed away Tuesday October 16, 2012 in Medina Memorial Hospital. Born in Lockport on April 5, 1947, she was the daughter of Marie (Persico) Peracciny of Lockport and the late Raymond Peracciny. Marcia worked with Opportunities Unlimited in Lockport for many years. She was a big fan of Joe Namath and early Beatles music, which she is credited for exposing all the Bright Street Boys too. In 2003, Marcia donated her kidney to her brother Raymond Jr., for her kindness she was awarded the "Consumer of the Year" through Opportunities Unlimited. Marcia was a giver, always concerned and taking care of others, before herself.
Beside her mother, she is survived by her siblings Raymond (Caroline) Peracciny, Jr., Mary Ann (Late Joe) Wolkiewicz and James Nichols. Aunt of Katrina Marie Peracciny, Raymond Peracciny III, Adelina Rose Peracciny, Tracy (Brian) Ranney, Christine Lantinen and Joseph (Tonya) Wolkiewicz; and several great nieces and nephews. Marcia was the niece of Jack and Kay Peracciny and Louis Peracciny, and god daughter of Judith O'Conner.
Friends may call Friday 4 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM in All Saints Parish at St Mary's Church, 5 Saxton Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
