Obituary of Donald Winter

Donald C. Winter passed away September 25, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Lockport on July 18, 1924 he was the son of Joseph and Adeline Winter. Donald served in the US Coast Guard Merchant Marine from 1943 to 1945. He worked as a truck driver for Exxon in Tonawanda. Donald is survived by his wife Esther (Emendorfer) Winter; father of Gloria (Alan) Manning, Daniel (late Darlene) Winter and the late Diana Winter; grandfather of seven and great grandfather of three; predeceased by his brothers and sisters; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, September 27th 5-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM in Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 5443 Tonawanda Creek Rd., Pendleton. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
