Obituary of Clara Hankins

Clara L. Hankins passed away September 22, 2012. Born September 15, 1927 in Lockport she was the daughter of James and Irene (Cunningham) Hankins. Clara worked for Harrison Radiator for 32 years where she started in production and was the first African American supervisor retiring in 1982. She was also the treasurer of the Lockport Chapter NAACP and for several years Clara helped raise many nieces, nephews and cousins. Clara is the sister of Evelyn Chaffin of Lockport and the late Harold Mancini, Kenneth Mancini, Erma Hunter and James Hankins, Jr. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. www.pruddenandkandt.com.
