Obituary of Ray Bennett

Ray W. Bennett passed away passed away September 22, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY. Ray was born June 23, 1937 in Halvetia, PA, the son of Raymond and Sara (Schock) Bennett. He worked at Harrison Radiator, Div. of G.M. as a tow motor operator for 25 years, retiring in 1992, after retirement he worked security of Lazy Lakes Campgrounds for 18years. Ray enjoyed Traveling, Camping and motorcycling. Ray is survived by his wife Margaret "Peggy" Waddell Rees Bennett; father of Ray (Carolyn) Bennett of North Carolina, Daniel (Bessie) Bennett of California, Liz (John) Taylor of Lockport, Cheryl (Dan) Shoop of Cambria and the late Andrew Bennett. He is also survived by his step-children Christine (Tim) Dombrowski of Lockport, Colleen Rees of Chesapeake, VA, William (April) Rees of Buffalo, John (Christine) Rees of Gasport and Jeanette (Earl) McCullough of Newfane and was the grandfather of 31 and many great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Betty (Fred) Frantz of PA. Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Thursday September 27, 2012 at 10 AM.
