Obituary of Carrie Reed

Carrie E. Reed passed away September 18, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House. Born March 9, 1922 in Hooversville, PA she was the daughter of Daniel and Catherine (Rhoads) Peterman. Carrie was a nurse's aide for 20 years at Lockport Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Lockport Memorial Retirees. Carrie was predeceased by her husband John L. Reed on June 5th, 1971.
Carrie is survived by her children Robert J. (late Christina) Reed, Edith "Edie" (Jack) Kirchberger, Jenny (late Sam) Corriere all of Lockport; step-children Mary Allesandro and James (Louise) Williams; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister of the late Daniel (Angeline) Peterman, Jr., Robert (Ellen) Peterman, Irene Saponsky, Ruth (Glen) Boyer, and Ivy Deutsh. She is also survived by her dear friend James Williams and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, September 21st from 2-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where prayers will be offered Saturday, September 22nd at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
