Rosario Gugliuzza Obituary

Rosario "Roy" S. Gugliuzza passed away August 23, 2012 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born October 4, 1930 in Lockport he was the son of Antonio and Rose (Liberto) Gugliuzza. Roy worked for Harrison Radiator until 1956 when he left to work as an independent distributor for Pepsi Cola retiring in 1991. He was a member of All Saints Parish, VFW, Republican Committee, Lockport Euchre League, served on the Niagara County Board of Supervisors from 1959-1969 and also served as alderman in the old second ward. Roy enjoyed gardening and trips to the casino.


Roy is survived by his wife of 57 years Antoinette (D'Agostino) Gugliuzza of Lockport; father of Michael (Mary) Gugliuzza, Roy (Patty) Gugliuzza, Lori (Tim) Childs, and Rosemary (Mike Gagliardi) Dorigo; grandfather of Chad Gugliuzza and Tyler Gugliuzza and step grandchildren Samantha, and Sarah Meyers and Jason Grimes; brother and brother in-law of Salvatore (Sam) and Ruth Gugliuzza, Philip (Phil) Gugliuzza and Frank and Shirley Gugliuzza, also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear close friends especially Charlie Sobieraski and Richard Scinta.


Relatives and friends may call Sunday, August 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday, August 27th at 10 AM. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.

Services

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27th at 10 AM in the funeral home.


Interment

Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
