Obituary of Marie (Cain) Lux

Marie T. (Cain) Lux passed away August 20, 2012 in Odd Fellow &amp; Rebekah Rehab &amp; Health Care Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Lockport on October 1, 1928 and was the daughter of Charles J. and Catherine T. (Gunn) Cain. Marie graduated in 1946 from St. Joseph's Academy and attended St Joseph's Business Institute in 1947. She worked at the Niagara County Sanatorium (Mount View Health Facility) for eleven years where she was a medical secretary. Marie was an active member of St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church (St. Brendan's-On-The-Lake) where she was a Eucharistic Minister for over 35 years and St. Joseph Alumnae serving as Past President, and enjoyed traveling. Marie is survived by her husband Albert J. Lux, Jr. of Lockport, whom she married on August 10, 1957; mother of James K. Lux, William (Kristine) Lux both of Pittsburgh, PA and Maureen A. (Scott) Elliott of Lockport; grandmother of Alexander Prue, Katelyn Prue, Jillian Elliott, Samantha Elliott, and Emily Elliott. There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass to be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Lockport on Tuesday, August 28th at 10 AM. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
