Deborah J. "Debbie" Failing, of Copper Center, AK, passed away August 12, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House. Born June 19, 1958 in Lockport she is the daughter of Joan (Hillick) Hobbs of Olcott and the late Ed Hobbs. Debbie earned her Associates Degree from SUNY Cobleskill and worked as a dietician for Valdez Hospital and also worked with the Valdez City School District both in Alaska. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Besides her mother Debbie is also survived by her husband Darryl "Butch" Failing of Copper Center, AK; mother of Josh L. (Kristina), Marc T. and Adam J. Failing; sister of Lindsey (Dianna), Paul (Christina), Greg (Ann), Dean (Lori), Forrest (Cathy), Chris (Mary), David, Mary Ann (David Tyburski), Matt, and Craig (Christina) Hobbs; also several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
