Obituary of Rose Loiacano

Rose Marie Loiacano (nee Bucolo) passed away peacefully on July 27, 2012 surrounded in love by her beloved husband and two sons. Born on April 17, 1918 in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph & Mary (Corrieri} Bucolo. Rose worked for Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors for thirty-five years; retiring in 1974. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, spending time with family and watching NY Yankee games with her husband. Rose is survived by her husband Charles A. Loiacano. Charlie and Rose were married on June 15, 1940 at St. Joseph's Church. They recently celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary at Briody's Healthcare Facility where they have been residents for the past year.
Rose was the dear mother of Charles (Gail) Loiacano and Joseph (Beatrice) Loiacano. She was grandmother to Kim (Frank) Perilli, Kristine (Michael) LaRose, Charles R(Amy) Loiacano, Terese Alex, Renee (Gregory) Hooker, and Joseph (Melissa) Loiacano. Great Grandmother to Andrew, Tera & Adam Perilli; Jenna, Jillian & Julia LaRose; C. Mitchell & Madeline Loiacano; Joseph & Abigail Alex; Nathan & Joshua Hooker; Cecelia & Joseph Loiacano. Sister of Frances (Lawrence) McKay, Delia (late Edward) Martin, Jerome (Cindy) Bucolo, the late Santo, Michael, Theresa, Anna and James Bucolo, and Lena (Marvin) Cummings. Rose was sister in law of Florence Bucolo, and the late Joseph & Mary Loyacano, Mary Bucolo, and John & Mary Ritz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday July 31st from 3:00 -6:00 p.m, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on August 1, 2012 at All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market St., Lockport, NY at 10 AM. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Roswell Park Cancer Institute or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on August 1, 2012 at All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market St., Lockport, NY at 10 AM.

Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
