John H. Leturgey Jr. Passed away July 7, 2012, in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport.
He was the son of the late John H Leturgey Sr. and Minerva (Taylor). Born August 18, 1937 in Portage Township, Pa., John came to the Lockport area with his father in 1955. He worked for Simons Steel, and Sy Koker's Auto. He enjoyed racing and watched NASCAR regularly, fishing and "Chased Dancing Girls" John married the Arlene Cousins McPhail on March 17, 1980, she passed away November 1, 2004..
John was the brother of James (Jean) Leturgey, Sally (James) McGovern, Terry Leturgey, and Susan (Jerry) Nachtrieb and the late Robert, Harold, and Norman Leturgey. He is also survived by his seven children.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to a graveside service, Tuesday morning at 10 AM in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials made in John's honor to the American Diabetes Association, or the Lockport Soup Kitchen, would be appreciated by the family.
