Obituary of Ronald McTigue

Ronald E. McTigue passed away October 16, 2009 under the care of Hospice of Buffalo. Born February 12, 1943 in Buffalo he is the son of Alma (Jones) McTigue of Grand Island and the late Paul E. McTigue. Ronald graduated from Riverside High School and served in the US Navy from 1962 to 1966 on the USS Meredith. He worked for Niagara Mohawk for 30 years retiring in 2003 where he was the lineman working on trouble shooting. He was a Grand Island Volunteer Fireman where Ronald was also a paramedic for several years. He was also was a certified scuba diver, was an avid CB radio enthusiast and enjoyed traveling.
Beside his mother Ronald is also survived by his wife Deborah (Lipka) McTigue of Tonawanda; father of Sean Patrick (Jody) McTigue, Lisa (Joseph) Johnson both of Florida, Deborah (Thomas) Flannigan of Cheektowaga and Kimberly Schmidt of Tonawanda; grandfather of Devin, Ryan McTigue, Madilyn, Delaney Flannigan, Nicholas Johnson and Taylor Furhman; brother of Dennis (Robin) McTigue of Portland, OR, Gary (Candice) McTigue of Niagara Falls, Tim McTigue of Texas and Judith (Domenic) Cedro of Cheektowaga; also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 23, 2009 at 10 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 263 Claremont Avenue, Tonawanda.
