Obituary of Louis Dent

After a brief illness, Louis was called home to be with the Lord with loved ones by his side on May 24, 2012. Born April 18, 1950 in Lockport he was the son of Sylvester and Marie (DeLouchrey) Dent. Louis wedded his longtime girlfriend of 17 years, Elaine Seward on Jan 28, 2012. He worked for WNY DDSO @ a group home in Albion for the past 13 years, recently retiring. Louis enjoyed his line of work and was a very dedicated and valued employee. Louis loved nature. He loved taking long walks with his wife and their 2 dogs. He enjoyed watching and feeding the many hummingbirds that visited each year. He was also a member of The North American Bluebird Society, Inc. which helps with bluebird restoration work across the continent. He loved fishing watching the sun set over the lake at his Waterport property. Louis was passionate about World News and politics. His favorite TV show was Fox News Channel. He also enjoyed watching boxing on TV. Louis was a jack-of-all trades and always offered a helping hand to whoever was in need without questions asked. He always had a smile on his face and made people laugh. He brought joy to everyone around him. Louis will be sadly missed by all that had the honor of knowing him. Wayne (Sharon) Dent of Lockport, Robert Dent of Encinitas, CA, Christine (Tom) Kuster of Centerville, VA, Shawn (Charlene) Dent of New Castle, IN and the late Bert, Ronald, Keith, and Corrine; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, May 31st 4-7 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 1st at 10 AM in Faith Tabernacle Church, 5676 Beattie Ave., Lockport. Inurnment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
