Obituary of Roland Anson

Roland C. Anson passed away May 26, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House, at the age of 94. Born April 30, 1918 in Lockport, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Clara (Ropart) Anson. "Rol" worked as an insurance agent for Prudential Life for 21 years before going to Niagara Frontier Travel, where he worked as a travel agent for 31 years. He was a member of the B. Leo Dolan 410 American Legion, Sons of Legionnaires and a social member of the Navy Marine Club.
Roland was the husband of Shirley L. Parker Anson and the late Agnes Brady Anson; father of Kevin (Ruby) Anson, Douglas Anson, Brenda Fitzgerald, Sharon (Ronald) Grottanelli and Barbara Neese; step-father of Harold E. (Billie Lynn) Parker. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and brother of the late Elizabeth (James) Carney and Thelma (Norman) Hansen; and leaves several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, May 29th from 3 to 7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094; or St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated.

Friends may call Tuesday May 29th from 3 to 7 PM.
<h3>Services</h3>
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10 O'clock.
<h3>Interment</h3>
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
