Obituary of Dean Kerrison

Dean A. Kerrison passed away suddenly May 21, 2012. Born September 10, 1950 in Medina he was the son of Doris J. (Kirkpatrick) Kerrison and the late John J. Kerrison. Dean was the superintendent of Cold Springs Cemetery where he worked for 44 years from 1968 to the present. He also took much pride in following in his grandfather and father's footsteps in holding the position of superintendent at Cold Springs Cemetery. Dean enjoyed working on and painting the race cars for the three generations of Rudolph's from Ransomville.
Dean is survived by his wife Sandy A. (Tice) Kerrison of Lockport; father of Melissa (Joe) Commendatore of North Carolina and Jason Kerrison of Lockport; brother of Bruce J. Kerrison, Craig A. (Debra) Kerrison both of Lockport and Patricia (George) Batten of South Carolina; son-in-law of Mary and Richard Turner of Lockport; also several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved beagle, Bailey, who loyally stayed by his side.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, May 24th 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26th at 11 AM. Donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Western New York Chapter, 331 Alberta Drive, Suite 106, Buffalo, NY 14226 would be appreciated by the family.
