Obituary of Mary Hillman

Mary "Aunt Mary" Hillman passed away May 21, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House. Born January 21, 1938 in Chancellor, AL she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Leila (Goff) Abercrombie. Aunt Mary worked for Dan Pontrello Tax Services, Lockport as a tax preparer for 40 years where she was loved by many of her clients. She and her late husband, Roger, also ran the Barnacle North &amp; South in the 1980's where there were many friends and memories made. Aunt Mary was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and the Florida Gators. She also enjoyed music supporting local musicians and bands, dancing, NASCAR, and playing cards. Aunt Mary was predeceased by her husband Roger Hillman. Aunt Mary is survived by her children who will miss her, Lelia Ann Trowell, Danny (Janet) Jones, and Brenda Jones; grandmother of Jason Jones, Riana Trowell, Rebecca Jones, and Sarah Jones; sister of Dallas "Red" (Juanita) Abercrombie, Julia (Clifford) Hill, Margie (Arnold) Sowell, Merle (Tim) Holt all of Florida and the late Louie (late Billie Jean) Abercrombie and late Eloise (late Renzo) Clemons; sister-in-law of Marion (late Bob) Warlinski, Florence (late Ted) Will, Gloria (late Rudy) Hillman and the late Elwood (Eve) Hillman; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, dear freinds and her loving pets Sophie, Romeo, and Baby. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday and Thursday 3 to 7 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 6075 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
