Obituary of Andrew Filipovich

Andrew S. Filipovich entered into rest Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport after a lengthy illness. Born April 11, 1944, he was the son of Andrew G. Filipovich and Kathryn Wittcop Filipovich. Andrew, known as "Moose" by all who knew him served in the US Army and worked 30 years at Harrison Radiator, where he retired in 1987. He was best known for being an avid outdoorsmen, he loved traveling about the country fishing and hunting. "Moose" had an immense passion for duck hunting and Labrador retrievers. He was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding and hanging out with mends. A charismatic fun loving man, "Moose" will most be remembered for living life at full throttle and making life an adventure. Our lives were enhanced by having him with us. Beloved husband to Robin Wass Filipovich, father of Dawn (Joe) Fonzi and Shelly Sherman; cherished grandfather of Morgan Fonzi and Ryan Fonzi; brother of Michael Filipovich, Dennis (Sandy) Filipovich, Daniel Filipovich, Patrick (Sandy) Filipovich, and Linda (John) Sullivan; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
