Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
FRANK EDWARD ROSE, known to many as "SKIP", passed away suddenly April 6, 2012 in Canada. He was born on June 20, 1932 to the late William H. Rose, Sr. and Ellmott Ethel Little in Lockport, New York. Skip was employed and retired from Simond Saw & Steel (Guterl Steel) as an Overhead Crane Operator and Ridge Road Express as a School Bus Driver. He was an avid musician and drummer, seen often in Big Bands, Lockport Parades, Proms and Receptions, usually with the Frank Loiars Orchestra. Skip sat in on a couple of songs at the Johnson Phinn Family Reunion at Outwater Park this past summer, only to WOW the crowd for a man of 79 years old. He held the sticks and hit to the beat like he did in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife Rose Bell Rose of Canada; father of Marilyn Rose Santiago of Atlanta, Trenton M. (LaVerne) Rose of Boston and Todd W. (Tonja) Rose, Sr. of Tampa; step-father of Tania Bell Chen of Canada. Skip is also survived by his former wife and friend Annie Margaret Rose of Lockport, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Brother of Frances Blackmon and the late Fred and William Rose; also survived by a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews that knew him as "Uncle Skip".
