Many years ago I graduated from Niagara Wheatfield Senior High School and was inspired to go into the field of law enforcement because of Mr. Letourneau. I think he was working for the Park Police at the time, and what I remember most about him was the passion in his voice when he spoke about his job. In the years since graduation (1976) he was the teacher I always considered my favorite and most influential, even using his name as my "secret question" on passwords on-line. I just wish now that I had let him know what an influence he had on me and my life. May he rest in peace and may you be blessed. I know I was for having known him.

We are so saddened by Pat's death and send our sincere and loving condolences to all his family and friends. We remember Pat as a beloved cousin and Godfather to our daughter, Danielle. We were so lucky to have known Pat, a kind and gentle spirit, who was always quick to give encouraging words and a warm embrace. A delightful host, Pat made everyone feel welcome. Dedicated to his family and loved ones, Pat was so proud of the accomplishments of his children and brother and sister. We will remember Pat with fondness and pray that all who knew him will have comfort in their memories of the precious time that they spent with Pat. Love, David and Sheilagh and Family

I was a student at Niagara Wheatfield while Pat was teaching there(1977 Graduate). I was a member of the Stage Crew and was able to fenagle my study halls to be in the Auditorium. I made sure I got 2 slots every year, Jazz Band Rehearsal and Pat's Law Class. I never was an official member of his class, sat in the back of the aud and listened, did my own homework and learned a lot. I was "in" his classes for 3 years. I fondly remember, after graduating, going on NYC field trips as a Chaperone with the drama club, and remember walking time square late at night, with Pat and David K.(before Time Square was Disney-fied, and we felt very safe with him by our side). His office was just outside our Aud. light booth at NW, and he was always there to help us as a teacher and friend. I have thought of him often over the years and send my deepest sympathies to his entire family. He was a wonderful influence on my life and will be remembered always.

First of all I would like to espress my condolences to Pat's family. I served as an officer with him in the Holy Name Society at St.Joseph's Church( now known as Holy Family),Niagara Falls, in the 70's. I was visiting with my 91 year old mother last night and she reminded me that the then pastor, Msgr. Fenice, told her that when Pat was elected society president and I, vice-president, that it was the first time since the formation of the society that there was were non-Italians as head officers. I guess that this is part of his legacy.

I attended Niagara Wheatfield and was fortunate enough to know Mr. Letourneau. He always had a kind word and smile for me. He was a great mentor and I still talk about him to this day. Mr. Letourneau was a teacher that made a difference in my life and I would not be the person I am today without his kindness and guidance. I am so sorry to his family for such a great loss. He has changed many lives! My thoughts and prayers are with you. One Hundred Years from now It will not matter what kind of car I drove, What kind of house I lived in, how much money was in my bank account nor what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a better place because I was important in the life of a child! Sincerely, Debbie (Filer) Brown
