Obituary of Pamela Hall
Please share a memory of Pamela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pamela Sue Hall died unexpectedly at her home in Archer, Florida on February 17. She was 58 years old. Pam was one of a set of twins born to Florence and Raymond Hall on September 1, 1953 in Greenville, Pennsylvania
She graduated from Greenville High School in 1971 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Pam followed her undergraduate degree with a Master of Arts in Teaching, also from the University of Florida in Gainesville. From there, she entered public education, teaching behavioral disorder students at the A. Quinn Jones Center in Gainesville and English at Gainesville High School. During the summer months, Pam taught English as a second language to the children of migrant workers. She also taught sixth grade at A. L. Mebane Middle School in Alachua, Florida. Teaching brought Pam a sense of joy and fulfillment that was contagious among her students and colleagues. She approached her classes as she lived her life " with passion and a keen focus on opening all of the educational doors for students that she possibly could.
Pam was blessed with an artistic soul and a compassionate heart. She excelled at visual and literary arts, enjoyed a variety of musical genres, and loved liturgical dance. Indeed, liturgical dance took her to Johannesburg, South Africa and Jerusalem in Israel. Pam surrounded herself with friends who were in need of encouragement in their lives, and she surrounded herself with animals in need of a home. Her pride and joy was her small farm in Archer. Heart's Rest Farm, as she affectionately referred to it, was home to two horses, three cats, a long-haired dachshund, and several Oscar fish.
Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Florence. She is survived by her father, Raymond Hall; her sister, Cheryl (Orris) Sheldon; her twin brother, Stephen (Emily) Hall; her nieces, Morgan (James) Caflisch and Amy (Michael) Utz; her nephews, Patrick (Katherine) Sheldon and Christopher (Lindsey) Hall; her great nieces, Madison and Kealy Caflisch, and Jane Sheldon; and her great nephews, Kyle Hall and Thane Caflisch.
