Ruth A. Fitchlee passed away suddenly October 6, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born September 27, 1923 in Cambria, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Hellert) Behm. Ruth worked for several years as a receptionist for William H. Menard Optical. She was a member of the Women's Guild of Trinity Lutheran Church, Senior Citizens, and enjoyed wintering in Florida, bowling and playing cards.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 63 years Everett Fitchlee of Lockport, whom she married December 1946 in Trinity Lutheran Church; father of Leonard (Margie) Fitchlee of Middleport, Nancy (Dean) Warner of Richmond. Va. and the late Gary Fitchlee; grandmother of Leslie and Allison Fitchlee, Joshua and Kasey Warner and Vanessa Cain; great grandmother of Hana Fitchlee and Jordan Cain; mother in-law of Becky Fitchlee of Gainesville, Fl.; sister of Delbert (Jeanne) Behm, Evelyn (Norman) Capell, Iverna Behm and the late Harold Behm, Elton Behm, Mildred Eick, Marilyn Gauda and Geraldine Waters; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 AM.
