Obituary of Joanne McKeever

Joanne M. McKeever passed away suddenly March 14, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born March 2, 1949 in Lockport she was the daughter of James and Mary (Villella) Chapman. Joanne worked as a cook with Heritage Manor, worked with Donna Eick at the Cornell Coopertaive Extension and also worked at Bells then Quality where she was the bakery manager. She was very active with the 4-H Milk Club, was a lunch monitor at DeSales Catholic School and volunteered at St. Mary's in Lancaster. Joanne spent much of her time working with children. Joanne is survived by her husband of 35 years Edison W. McKeever of Lockport; mother of Todd (Michael) McKeever of Lockport; step-mother of Dennis (Sue) McKeever of Lockport, Marilyn (David) Wilson of North Carolina and David (Shelly) McKeever of Medina; sister of James (Phyllis) Chapman of Newfane, Rosemarie Smith of Lockport and the late Phyllis Chapman-McKeown; niece of Rose Marvin, Helen Villella, and Angeline Devereaux; also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where prayers will be offered Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
