Obituary of Helen Hausman

Helen M. Hausman passed away March 14, 2012 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born April 1, 1920 in Niagara Falls she was the daughter of William and Hazel (Place) Meloon. She worked for Harrison Radiator in production for 30 years retiring in 1975. Helen was a member of The Chapel for 45 years, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, UAW 686 Retirees where she also served on the Board of Directors and was an officer, UAW 686 Travel Club, Dale Association, HANCI, Lockport Christian Women and also the Board of Elections. She was predeceased by her husband Vaughn Hausman in July of 1986. Helen is the mother of William C. (Donna) Beshaw, Janice (Michael) Litz both of Lockport and the late David Joseph; grandmother of ten; great grandmother of thirty-two; sister of Joan Puff of Lockport and the late Dorothy Holder, Kenneth Meloon, Gordon Meloon, and Betty Lockwood; also several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM.
