James F. Hapeman passed away suddenly March 9, 2012. Born June 11, 1938 in Cheektowaga he was the son of Gerald V. and Virginia (Ahr) Hapeman. He served in the US Marines and worked as a conductor for Conrail for 45 years retiring in June of 2000. James was a member of the American Legion, NRA, NAVRE and UTU #1393 where he served as the treasurer for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and bowling. James is survived by his wife Geri (Mroz) Hapeman of Pendleton; father of Michael Hapeman of Clarence, Scott (Genevieve) Hapeman of Elma and Dawn Marie Hapeman of Pendleton; grandfather of eight; brother of Richard (Joan) Hapeman, David (Linda) Hapeman, Barbara (Robert) McDonald, and the late Gerald V. Hapeman, Jr. and Robert B. Hapeman. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the Victory Christian Church, 6886 South Transit Rd., Lockport. <h3>Visitation</h3> Relatives and friends may call Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM <h3>Services</h3> Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the Victory Christian Church, 6886 South Transit Rd., Lockport. <h3>Interment</h3> Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
