Obituary of Karen Carpenter

Karen R. Carpenter passed away March 7, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane. Born July 18, 1941 in Lockport she was the daughter of Arthur E. and Velma (Hillman) Carpenter. Karen worked for Quality Markets where she was a cashier and also the Law Office of Patricia George then for the Law Office of Ann Hess where she did the bookkeeping. Karen was a member of the UAW Dart league for 14 years and enjoyed her pet cockatiel, gardening and especially her grandchildren. Karen is survived by her two sons Brett (Julie) Bulmer and Mark J. Bulmer; grandmother of Travis, Jessica, Tanner, Shayna, and Maya; sister of Paul (Joan) Carpenter and Sally (Donald) Zoss; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, March 10th from 10-12 Noon at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will immediately follow at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
