John R. Lang passed away February 12, 2012 in Medina Memorial Hospital. Born February 20, 1941 in Buffalo he is the son of Alfred Lang and Florence (Girad) Doctor. John graduated from Kensington High School in 1959 and worked for Bethlehem Steel from 1969 to 1979. He then briefly worked for Republic Steel from 1965 to 1968 and for Ferre Plastic from 1985 to 1987. John was also a stewart for Olgebay Norton from 1988 to 2002. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed vacationing with his family, outings with his grandchildren and playing bingo.

John is survived by his wife Joan (Hangen) Lang; father of Terri Lang, Jaclyn (Roger) Morris, John Paul (Andrea) Lang, Jerome Lang, and Jessica Lang; grandfather of Cindy Gaddig, Vincent Lang, Brianna Lang, Aidan Morris, Levi Morris, Haleigh Lang, and Veda Lang; great grandfather of Rashaun, Justice Johnson and Damon Dash, Jr.; brother of Bruce, David Doctor, Cindy Heidman and Christine Liedman; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation. A memorial mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.
