Obituary of James Artieri

James A. Artieri passed away February 9, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House.
Born October 21, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Dominic and Mary Santora Artieri. Jim served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1947. He was a Lockport Policeman for 32 years, retiring in 1988. He also was the Maintenance Supervisor of the Villager Apts. Jim was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, he is a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Lockport Council Knights of Columbus and the Hickory Club.
Jim is survived by his wife Amelia "Mim" Artieri; father of Mark (Kelly) Artieri of Olcott, Robert (Diane) Artieri of North Tonawanda, Jeffrey (Denise) Artieri of Lockport, Joanna (Robert) Grose of Little Falls, NY and the late James Artieri;
grandfather of Ashley, Jordan, Taylor, Gina, Erik Artieri , Hailey Grose and Nicholas (Julie) Artieri. Jim also is the brother of Josephine Guay of Lockport and the late Philip, Patrick, Thomas and Harry and is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Lockport where prayers will be offered Monday morning at 10:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in All Saints Parish Oratory in St. Joseph's Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport, NY. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY would be appreciated. Interment will be Cold Spring Cemetery.

Prayers will be offered Monday morning at 10:30 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in All Saints Parish Oratory in St. Joseph's Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport, NY.
<h3>Interment</h3>
Interment will be Cold Spring Cemetery.
