Obituary of Donald Diermyer

Donald L. Diermyer passed away Sunday February 5, 2012. Born June 1, 1937 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Florence Tagg Diermyer. Donald was a welder for Emil Von Dungen for 34 years, retiring in 2000. He was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Moose, and enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. Donald wintered in Bradenton, Fl., loved to travel, spending time with his family.
Donald is survived by his wife of 45 years Anna M. Goodenough Diermyer of Lockport. He was the father of Denise M. West of Lockport, Denise L. (Chris) Adams of Medina, Therese A. West of Annapolis, MD., Debra Bienick of Medina, DeAnn L. Diermyer of Medina, Kenneth G. (Cynthia) West of Ocoee, Fl. and Cynthia M. (Mike) Chamberlain of Burt, NY. Donald is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Janet Vining of Williamsport, PA. and the late Robert Diermyer, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Roswell Park Cancer Institute or to the Boston University School of Medicine, Amyloid Research Fund, 72 East Concord Street, K-503, Boston, MA 02118, would be appreciated by the family.

Prayers will be offered Wednesday morning at the funeral home at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.
<h3>Interment</h3>
Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
